Virginia Entrepreneur Development Business
Resource Center (VED-BRC), a private, non-profit organization, was founded in
May 2008 to meet the employment needs of minorities and women in the community.
In response to the demands of a changing workforce, VED-BRC's services have
since expanded to include all adults, youth, and business enterprises. The
Virtual Business Resource Center at www.VEDBRC.com launched September 2009 as
part of an effort to match workforce development with enterprise development.
VED-BRC has earned state-wide recognition as an agency with skilled staff able
to deliver quality, customer- focused, training and business resource services.

Center is moving toward the future with a focus on strengthening partnerships
within the community and across the state of Virginia. A Network of resources
enables VED-BRC to provide information to meet the demands of the modern
entrepreneur.

To ensure that individuals and businesses in our
community have the knowledge, skills and resources necessary to succeed and
significantly contribute to a strong economy.

individualized services, invaluable resources, and innovative opportunities for
training and enterprise development to meet the changing needs of our community.
VED-BRC’s mission is to promote business growth through training and
development; seek collaborative community partnership efforts to help leverage
resources and increase contracting opportunities for small businesses.
Recognizing the growing need for small business development related services
throughout The Hampton Roads Area of Virginia, we will seek collaborative
partnerships with other community agencies such as Minority Woman Business
Enterprise, who specialize in serving minority and/or women-owned business
enterprises, as well as businesses owned by low-income individuals.
